Qualistra Joins the Railway Industry Association
I am delighted that Qualistra has become a member of the Railway Industry Association (RIA) for 2026–2027. The welcome from RIA reinforces its commitment to supporting a stronger, more innovative and collaborative railway supply sector.
Having spent more than three decades working across the UK rail industry, I have long recognised the important role that RIA plays in bringing together suppliers, operators, infrastructure organisations and industry stakeholders. As I continue to develop Qualistra, rejoining RIA in my capacity as a business owner represents an important step in building new relationships, sharing knowledge and contributing to the future of our industry.
Qualistra was founded on the belief that experience carries responsibility and that, if you can make a positive difference, you should. RIA’s focus on collaboration, innovation, advocacy and supporting businesses of all sizes aligns strongly with the values that underpin Qualistra and the way I work.
I am particularly looking forward to:
- Meeting with colleagues and friends from across the industry.
- Taking an active role in regional activities and member interest groups.
- Contributing to discussions around innovation, strategy and the future of rail.
- Sharing experience and supporting collaboration across the wider supply chain.
- Continuing to develop the Qualistra brand and build long-term relationships founded on trust, integrity and delivery.
As someone who has always believed in the value of partnerships and lifelong learning, I see membership of RIA not simply as a business investment, but as an opportunity to contribute positively to an industry that has provided me with a rewarding and fulfilling career.
I look forward to engaging with fellow members over the coming months and years and playing my part in helping to build a bigger, better and more sustainable railway for the future.
Mike Harmer June 2026.
